Mason Advisory's 'Shelter' Appeal - we've smashed our target!

Each year, our team takes part in the shoebox appeal for the homeless. The collecting, wrapping, card writing, and sharing has become an annual tradition we love doing. However, this year, due to the current restrictions we were unable to do that, so decided to set up a JustGiving page to allow donations to go directly to Shelter, a charity supporting people struggling with bad housing and homelessness, and those who have already endured the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic without a safe place to live.

Over the Christmas period, the Mason Advisory team had a virtual Christmas get together with a quiz, a magic show and lots of catching up. It was great to see everyone virtually in one place, with drinks and nibbles to hand, even if it was only on the screen. In lieu of the usual company dinner, an amount was agreed for each employee to spend on a meal for the family-too event. After the do, a member of the team asked if they could direct their dinner expenses to Shelter instead of claiming back! We thought it was a great idea and asked the team if anyone else was interested, and the response was brilliant; we raised £735 from the Christmas party alone.

Our target was £300, and we’ve raised £1,165. So thank you to the whole team and everyone who donated to this amazing charity.
