Unlocking your IT potential – empowering businesses through our maturity assessment

Sometimes you need to pause. Make time to look around. Work out what isn’t working, and make the most of what is. A lot of our clients have experienced a period of change: maybe its dramatic growth, M&A activity, disruption in their supply chain or in their technology. We provide the breathing space to check how you’re doing. Our maturity assessment use a framework and over 200 best practice blueprints that we refine to align to industry advancements. This allows us to objectively assess key areas in your IT provision: organisation design; people, process and technology; data; and reporting. At the end you’ll understand where you are today, and where you need to be to meet your goals.

What it is…

‘Business as usual’ can often get in the way of change. Finding ways to make the most of the time you have is our speciality. We’ll find out what works for you: sometimes that’s short drop-in sessions at the same time every day, sometimes it’s a longer workshop to get maximum reach. Whatever you decide, you can use our communication approach to make sure staff are clear on what’s going on and why it’s important for them to get involved.

Our use of blueprints isn’t an out-of-the-box approach. It’s simply about making our time with you more productive, while using our knowledge of what good looks like. Building up a picture at our request-for-information stage saves time, so that in our workshops we can focus on the questions that really matter.

What it isn’t

It’s not an audit. We want your staff to be comfortable with our approach – that’s how we get the best information. We set the scene, take questions, manage expectations, show the benefits and real examples of where it’s worked before. And then we do it all again. It doesn’t matter if it’s at your offices or on a call – your staff will feel at ease with us, and understand what we’re trying to do together.

What you’ll get

Getting the information into our tool in a structured way means we can see very quickly where there might be quick wins or strategic improvement opportunities. We’ll share ideas from our library as we spot gaps, so you can see the types of improvements you could be working on straight away. We might even ask you to score yourselves – it’s not a test, it’s a great way to keep the conversation moving.

And it’s all evidence based – our independent, structured review, tested and validated by you as we work. That means that when we bring it all together at the end, you’ll already know what we’ve found.

You’ll have a powerful summary, brought to life by quotes and stories from your people, and supported by an objective scoring system. Our recommendations will highlight any recurring themes and objective observations. Sometimes the hardest thing can be getting started – so we’ll give you a view on what will provide most benefit while being affordable for the business.

How long does it take? Typically between one and three months from start to finish, depending on the scope. We’ll work out the specifics with you, and we could get the ball rolling from as little as two weeks.
