Major incident management

Control room solutions providing a common operating picture for major incidents to support a better multi-agency response

Download Paper

UK emergency services are involved day-in, day-out in planned events, civil emergencies, and major incidents. From organised marches to the Westminster Bridge attack, these highly complex operations require tightknit multi-agency planning and response. The Kerslake Report into the Manchester Arena attack largely praised the emergency services for their response, but it also contained an important lesson around the need for inter-agency communication regarding agreed operational responses.

This white paper explores the fact that technology is playing an increasing role in providing decision-makers with up-to-the-minute information to ensure improved situational awareness and co-ordination of effort. 3D mapping based on data feeds from a vast number of sources can be used to validate and further inform strategic, tactical and operational decisions which directly affect the efficacy and safety of on-the-scene Category 1 and Category 2 responders.
